Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida's 19th district since 2021, has recently expressed his concerns and initiatives through a series of tweets. Donalds, who has a background in the Florida House of Representatives and holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University, continues to advocate for various issues affecting Americans.

On March 24, 2025, Congressman Donalds highlighted the plight of Edan Alexander, a young American from Tenafly, New Jersey. "Edan Alexander is a 21 year-old American from Tenafly, New Jersey. Hamas terrorists have been holding him hostage in Gaza for 534 days. We will not forget you Edan. Thank you @coachbrucepearl for your advocacy. We must BRING THEM ALL HOME" he stated.

In another tweet on March 25, 2025, Congressman Donalds criticized FEMA's current operational structure under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He emphasized the need for change by stating ".@fema is overly-bureaucratic, overly-politicized, overly-inefficient, & CHANGE IS NEEDED." He suggested that FEMA should report directly to the President to enhance efficiency.

Furthering his stance on disaster response improvements on March 25 as well, Donalds announced collaboration with Rep. Moskowitz on new legislation aimed at enhancing disaster relief efforts across the nation. He tweeted "When disaster strikes, quick & effective action must be the STANDARD––not the EXCEPTION." He expressed pride in joining this initiative to improve disaster response systems.
