Byron Donalds, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 19th district, has recently taken to social media to share his thoughts on various events and figures. The congressman, who succeeded Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, expressed support for local sports teams and individuals, as well as condolences for a trailblazing figure.

On March 22, 2025, Congressman Donalds extended his best wishes to the Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball team as they prepared for their first-round rematch against Oklahoma in the NCAA tournament. He acknowledged their achievement of winning a ninth consecutive ASUN Sports Championship and emphasized community support: "Best of luck to the @FGCU_WBB today in their 1st round @MarchMadnessWBB rematch v. Oklahoma... Our Southwest Florida community is behind you! #Raining3s".

Later that day, Donalds congratulated former Fort Myers police officer Tiara Brown on her recent victory. Brown secured the World Boxing Council Featherweight Championship while maintaining an undefeated record. Donalds expressed gratitude for her service to the community and celebrated her accomplishment: "Former @fortmyerspolice officer @tiarabrownbox has extended her undefeated record to 19-0 to become the @WBCBoxing World Featherweight Champion... congratulations on this monumental achievement."

On March 24, 2025, Donalds paid tribute to Mia Love, recognizing her contributions as a pioneering figure who inspired future generations by achieving significant milestones: "Mia Love was a trailblazer... Erika and I pray for the Love family during this time of grief."
