Congressman Byron Donalds, who has been serving Florida's 19th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting various international funding allocations. The tweets compare financial commitments to different global initiatives.

On March 20, 2025, Congressman Donalds posted a tweet discussing two funding allocations: "$5.5M to promote LGBT causes in Uganda v. $32K for a transgender comic book in Peru".

In another tweet on the same day, he compared funds directed towards Syria and Libya: "$9M for humanitarian aid to Syria that was stolen by terrorists v. $55M to strengthen Libyan public financial management processes".

Additionally, Congressman Donalds highlighted spending on cultural and gender equality programs with his post: "$2M for Moroccan pottery classes and promotion v. $14M for 'Gender equality programs for climate change in Tanzania'".
