Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida's 19th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on social media about his legislative efforts and viewpoints on various issues. On January 24, 2025, he addressed topics including sanctions against the Cuban government and immigration policies under the Trump administration.

On January 24, 2025, Congressman Donalds tweeted about his stance on Cuba: "The Communist Cuban regime has subjected the Cuban people to unimaginable horrors. I've proudly introduced legislation that sanctions this tyrannical regime, & I applaud President Trump for taking swift action to re-designate the Cuban government as a state-sponsor of terrorism."

In another tweet from January 24, 2025, Donalds defined terms related to immigration law: "'ILLEGAL' – Forbidden by law. 'ALIEN' – Terminology in Title 8 of US Code to describe a person who is not a citizen or national of the US. If a noncitizen enters the US unlawfully & without US authorization, they are by definition, an 'illegal alien' & THEY WILL BE REPATRIATED."

Later that day, Donalds shared a message regarding border security under the Trump administration: "WATCH: A newly-deported illegal alien has a message for anyone thinking of crossing our border illegally under the Trump administration. 'There is a lot of [ICE/CBP agents] and everyone is getting caught. I don't recommend to cross because there is a lot of [ICE/CBP agents].'"
