Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida's 19th district, recently shared several updates via social media. Donalds, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after replacing Francis Rooney, continues to engage with his constituents through various initiatives and discussions on pertinent issues.

On February 10, 2025, Congressman Donalds announced upcoming events organized by his office. He stated: "SAVE THE DATE My office will be hosting our annual Academy Day event on March 29 at 10AM in Fort Myers. My office's annual Congressional Art Competition for SWFL students has begun. Submissions are due by April 11 at 12PM." These events aim to engage the community and provide opportunities for local students.

Later that day, Donalds expressed appreciation for healthcare workers during a visit to the Capitol complex. He remarked: "Always great running into Floridians around the Capitol complex. Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system & work long hours while displaying patience, care, & kindness." He extended gratitude to South Florida nurses for their dedication to serving others.

In another post on February 11, Donalds addressed financial regulation and its impact on community banks. He commented: "Community banks bolster economic growth. Dodd-Frank made big banks bigger, eviscerated community banks, created the unconstitutional CFPB, & made capital more expensive/scarce." The congressman emphasized the need to reassess financial regulations to support community banking.
