The City’s Water and Sewer Department will be rehabilitating a water supply well beginning February 15, 2023.
A crane and large holding tank will be positioned on South Sunset Street requiring a road closure from February 15 – 18, 2023.
Equipment noise and trucks entering and leaving the project site should be expected.
Temporary protective traffic barricades and signs will be installed in the surrounding area.
Vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic on South Sunset Street will be restricted, except for local traffic.
The entire well acidification and rehabilitation project will last until March 24, 2023, but road closures and traffic impacts will be minimal.
The traffic control plan is attached to this release.
Drivers should proceed with caution in the identified work areas, follow detour signs, and plan for delays.
