On April 9, 2025, Congressman Donalds stated his office's readiness to assist constituents dealing with federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. "If you're having issues with @DeptVetAffairs or ANY federal agency: We have staffers READY TO HELP We will be your ADVOCATE We will ensure your case is RESOLVED". He provided contact numbers for residents in Collier and Lee counties to seek assistance.

Later the same day, Donalds expressed gratitude to the Honor Flight Network and the local Southwest Florida Honor Flight for their work in celebrating veterans. "Not every veteran received the welcome home that they deserved. As a result, OVER 50% of the American tobacco market is illegal Chinese vapes––that contain unknown chemicals and contents. @US_FDA must approve additional, safe, American vapes to protect the health of our nation.".

Byron Donalds, who succeeded Francis Rooney in Congress in 2021, has been an active legislator not only in federal matters but also through earlier service in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn and now a resident of Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
