Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida's 19th district, has been actively addressing local issues through a series of tweets. Donalds, who succeeded Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020, highlighted various concerns affecting his constituents.

On March 11, 2025, Congressman Donalds addressed the challenges faced by the local seafood industry following Hurricane Ian. He stated: "The impact of Hurricane Ian on our local seafood industry was devastating. As our community continues to rebuild, shrimpers must also deal with a market that is oversaturated with U.S. taxpayer-financed foreign product. I am proud to stand with @RepTroyNehls in demanding that..."

In another tweet dated March 12, 2025, Donalds praised the efforts of first responders and local citizens during a rescue operation for kayakers in distress. He tweeted: "In coordination with @fortmyerspolice, the @FLStateGuard took swift & decisive action to rescue kayakers in distress. To the heroic first responders & the vigilant Floridians who called local police dispatch: Thank you for your service to our SWFL community & the Sunshine State."

Later on March 12, 2025, he expressed gratitude towards several officials and councils for their participation in discussions at Capitol Hill about regional issues. He wrote: "Thank you to Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, officials from Lee County Schools, and members of the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Sanibel City Councils for joining us on Capitol Hill. Together we discussed important issues affecting our SWFL community and the Sunshine State."
