On March 11, 2025, Congressman Byron Donalds reported that "Tonight, @HouseGOP passed various border security bills including: HR 495–Requires recurring annual report by @CBP on plans to counter illicit cross-border tunnels. HR 993–Requires @CBP/@DHSgov to develop a plan to identify and deploy innovative tech to improve border security."
