Boys & Girls Club of Collier County has hired Chrissie Missal as director of annual giving, a role in which she engages, cultivates, solicits and stewards donors.
Missal is responsible for implementing strategies to connect with new donors and increase monthly giving among existing supporters to grow revenue through the annual fund. She maintains a portfolio of individual donors, designs and manages direct marketing efforts to annual fund and mid-level donors, coordinates development of the annual report, assists in event planning and execution, and accurately records all donations.
Private support allows Boys & Girls Club of Collier County to annually serve approximately 4,000 members, ages 6 to 18, through after-school and summer programs.
“As a nonprofit, Boys & Girls Club relies heavily on philanthropic support from charitable organizations and generous individuals to ensure that all children and teens have access to our programs,” said Boys & Girls Club President and CEO Megan McCarthy Beauvais. “Chrissie jumped right in, working to increase awareness and support for Boys & Girls Club, and our youth will ultimately benefit from her passion for fundraising and ability to communicate the organization’s needs to those who can make a difference.”
Prior to joining Boys & Girls Club, Missal was manager of annual giving at Grace Place for Children and Families. She also held roles at Grace Place as a development relationship manager, development and special events manager, and volunteer experience manager.
Previous positions included child welfare case manager for Pathways in Naples and fourth-grade teacher at Minerva Bilingual School in Honduras.
Missal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Florida Atlantic University. She has served as a Girl Scout leader and completed the Associate Leadership Collier program through the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
