Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
Sunshine Ace Hardware donated a large shipment of classroom and cleaning supplies to the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, which is ramping up programs for the fall semester.
The shipment measured 82 cubic feet and contained multiple cases of hand sanitizer, wet wipes, facial tissues and drinking straws.
“So many people supported Sunshine Ace during the pandemic by shopping locally, and that in turn allows us to continue giving back to the community by supporting great organizations like the Boys and Girls Club,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “‘Care for your Neighbor’ has been one of our core values since the company was founded in 1958, and we’re excited to continue supporting charitable causes that make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County annually serves more than 3,000 children and teens, ages 6 to 18, through clubs and after-school programs with a mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The nonprofit’s six core program areas include education, career development, character and leadership, health and wellness, the arts, and sports and recreation.
“The Boys & Girls Club is incredibly fortunate to have community partners like Sunshine Ace that understand the club’s role in helping children and teens reach their full potential,” said Megan McCarthy Beauvais, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County. “These supplies ensure that we’ll continue offering a safe, clean environment for our student members to learn, play and prosper.”
Sunshine Ace’s donation consisted of:
1,000 1.6-ounce hand sanitizer bottles
480 containers of wet wipes
204 18-ounce hand sanitizers
