City of Marco Island issued the following announcement.
The City of Marco Island is looking to revise the current Sea Turtle Protection Ordinance (No. 13-05) which was adopted in February 2013.
The Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee has been charged with the task of revising this ordinance and have proposed changes that are reflected in draft ordinance.
The draft ordinance will be discussed at the next Beach & Coastal Resources Advisory Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 16th from 9 to 11AM.
In person public comments are welcome at the meeting beginning at 9:30am.
If you are unable to attend the meeting in person and would like to provide comments, please email your comments to the City Environmental Planner, Tonia L. Selmeski at: tselmeski@cityofmarcoisland.com.
They will be forwarded on to the Committee for review and consideration.
