Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida’s 19th district, has recently shared a series of tweets concerning the "Bipartisan FISHES Act," which he supports. The act aims to streamline aid delivery to the fishing industry in Florida and across the United States by reducing bureaucratic red tape.

On December 5, 2024, Congressman Daniel Webster expressed his support for the act. In his statement, he said, "The bill seeks to 'cut red-tape' and deliver aid more efficiently to support the fishing industry in Florida and across the United States." He directed readers to an article from South Lake Today for further information.

Later that day, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell also voiced her approval of the act. On December 5, 2024, she stated that "HR 5103 would speed-up the timelines for providing funding to communities affected by fishery disasters..ensuring faster support for impacted communities & more efficient recovery efforts."

Additionally, Congressman Bruce Westerman delivered a speech on December 5, 2024. He noted that "Too-often gov bureaucracy can act as an impediment to recovery efforts. We can improve this process by ensuring OMB does not unnecessarily delay it. I want to again thank Rep Donalds for his work on this issue."
