Pre-K 4 finished up their unit on Arctic Animals in science with hands on investigation of ice and oil!
Pre-K 4 finished up their unit on Arctic Animals in science with hands on investigation of ice and oil! The children learned about different animal adaptations. One experiment used oil and feathers. The oil when placed on feathers is an adaptation for water birds. This investigation taught the children that water birds can stay dry and warm by preening their feathers with oil! The children also investigated ice by melting icebergs with water and went ice fishing with the help of a little salt! Pre-K 4 loves science!
