Collier County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Division asks residents to allow until Dec. 18 for removal of curbside hurricane debris. After Dec. 18, please call 239-252-2380 or email hurricaneppdr@colliercountyfl.gov to report any hurricane debris that was not collected.
Debris contractors will continue their important work, after a holiday break from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2. This allows the crews, many of whom live outside the area, to go home for the holidays. Debris removal operations will resume on Jan. 3 for areas that are in need.
“We appreciate your continued patience as we work to efficiently clear debris,” said Director Kari Hodgson.
Debris collection crews will continue to remove hurricane debris from neighborhoods until all of the debris is gone. Only Hurricane Ian generated debris will be collected. Reconstruction, renovation, repair work and lot-clearing debris cannot be collected. Any freshly-trimmed branches and normal yard waste will be collected as part of the weekly yard waste collection.
