RECOGNIZING DIANE VAN PARYS IN HONOR OF WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Mr. DIAZ-BALART. Madam Speaker, in honor of Women's History Month, I rise today to recognize Diane Van Parys whose dedication towards bettering Florida and giving back to her community has had a significant impact on Southwest Florida.
Born in Naples, Florida, Diane moved away to attend Boston College majoring in Political Science. Diane continued her education at the University of Massachusetts achieving a master's in business. Upon completion Diane began her professional career working in human resources, as well as sales and marketing for several prominent companies. Throughout her career Diane's impressive commitment towards helping her community has been notable. During Diane's time in Georgia, she volunteered for multiple organizations including the Republican Party, and as an Officer of the Forsyth County Republican Women. Upon her return to sunny Southwest Florida, Diane has remained an active member in the community.
Diane's drive to continue her involvement in her community, specifically in Collier County speaks volumes. She was elected by her peers to serve as the President of Republican Women of SWFL in 2015, a leadership role that she still currently holds. Diane also participates in the Florida Citizens Alliance, and the Collier County Republican Executive Committee- Precinct Committee Woman. Ensuring her faith-based community is well-represented, Diane also serves on the board of St. Vincent de Paul and is President of the St. Elizabeth Seton Conference. Although Diane commitment to her community keeps her extremely busy, she does enjoy playing tennis and golf with her husband Mike in her free time.
Madam Speaker, as a lifelong public servant, Diane has proven time and time again her unwavering commitment to the community and it is truly a privilege to know and work with her. With that being said, I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing this outstanding individual.
