COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL OF NAPLES: Hawk MUN

Community

Community High School of Naples issued the following announcement.

On Friday, Dec. 11, CSN students grades 6-12 gathered to participate in a joint Hawk Model United Nations and Harvard Model Congress event that saw 70 of our students exploring the power of diplomacy and problem-solving. Filling four US classrooms, student-moderators led debates over the day's contemporary hot-button issues, such as human trafficking, the dark web, data privacy, and NCAA pay-to-play. Each student served as a representative of a country or a state, researching their particular issue, writing a position paper on the topic, and presenting their country's/state's position related to the more extensive, global debate.

In an age of political confusion, CSN is committed to helping our students understand the art of diplomacy and debate.  As students encounter other perspectives, they think deeply and become more astute global citizens.
