Community High School of Naples issued the following announcement.
On Saturday, Nov. 21, MS students participated in MSMUN, a virtual conference hosted by the United Nations Association of Greater Boston in conjunction with Northeastern University. For the first time in CSN history, 16 of our MS students joined nearly 450 others from around the United States to try to solve world problems such as the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the rights of asylum seekers. In order to prepare for the conference, all students were expected to write a position paper, identifying the problem, their assigned country’s response, and proposed solutions to rectify the issue. Congratulations to Jonathan '26 (Honorable Mention Position Paper), Nuha '25 (Distinguished Position Paper), and Sadie '25 (Outstanding Position Paper) on receiving in-house recognition. Additionally, the chairs of each committee selected delegates for a variety of awards based on how they participated during the conference. Congratulations to Egor '25 on receiving the Best Negotiator Award and Sadie for the Best Delegate Award. Both of these students automatically earned a spot for the December Invitational Model UN, along with three others chosen by their CSN advisor Ms. Stasik: Nuha, Curtis ’25, and Jack ‘25. We look forward to seeing them in a crisis-style conference where they address international space exploration and militarization. Overall, all the MS students did an amazing job!
