Former St. John Neumann Catholic High School star Tye Phoenix played as the MIT Engineers lost 20-1 to the Montclair State Redhawks in their NCAA Division III baseball contest on Friday, March 13, at 3 p.m.

The matchup, which took place at Yogi Berra Stadium, marked the first time this season the two teams faced each other.

Phoenix surrendered six earned runs and issued one walk in his outing.

The Engineers are set to play Montclair State Redhawks again at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Yogi Berra Stadium.
