The Seahawks hosted their home Invitational last Saturday, drawing 26 schools from Collier, Lee, and Charlotte counties.
While the meet usually attracts the smaller area schools, CSN opened registration to let more programs compete. With a lot of help from the Athletics Department, coaches, students, and parent volunteers, CSN’s meet featured nearly 1,000 athletes and 1,500 entries. The meet started off with boys javelin at 8:00 a.m. and concluded with the 4x400m relay at 6:00 p.m. The highlight for the Seahawks came near the end of the long day with a 3200m victory from junior Tyler Mastrangelo, who led that race for all eight laps.
CSN Girls Top-8 performances:
4x800m Relay: 3rd place 10:38.15 (Wheeler, Hagenbuckle, Schmieding, Hobbs)
CSN Boys Top-8 performances:
4x800m Relay: 2nd place 8:51.25 (Guzman, Mastrangelo, Hobbs, Lupo)
Long Jump: 3rd place -- Darius Beauvoir ’23 - 6.44m
3200m Run: 1st place -- Tyler Mastrangelo ‘24 - 10:18.04
