As part of Community School of Naples’ ongoing community outreach and wellness initiatives, the school is inviting interested people of all ages to register for a Family Fitness Fun Run to be held Jan. 29, 2023 on their campus. The link to register is https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Naples/CommunitySchoolofNaplesFamilyFitnessFun5kRun.

All proceeds support ongoing Hurricane Ian relief efforts at St. Matthew’s House, Habitat for Humanity, and Neighborhood Health Clinic.

In the wake of the recent hurricane, CSN sought to identify a few of the many organizations in town that were addressing some of the crucial needs of those in our community lacking resources. They wanted to focus their community on a long-term and targeted approach to hurricane relief. On top of a variety of volunteer and goods donation drives, they suggested to their families that all monetary donations be sent to either Habitat for Humanity, St. Matthew’s House, or Neighborhood Health Clinic. They saw each of these organizations as leading the way to address specific needs in the community. They have already completed several other small fundraising efforts over the past few months, but their biggest hurricane fundraiser yet is this Family Fitness Fun Run.

The race course will take the runners throughout the school’s picturesque, 77-acre campus.  Check-in is at the John N. Allen Family Sports Stadium, 13275 Livingston Road off Osceola Trail. The 5K begins at 8:00 a.m. and costs $40.  There is also a free 1K Fun Run for ages 10 and under beginning at 9:30 a.m. In addition, yoga, stretching, nutrition and other workshop will be offered free to those interested in learning about these various components of wellness.

Community School of Naples, the largest PreK-12 independent school in Collier County, was established in 1982. CSN offers a rigorous college preparatory program, and 100 percent of its seniors attend select four-year colleges and universities. The school is located on a 77-acre campus in North Naples.
