The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) released high school graduation rates for the Class of 2022 on January 13, 2023. The 2022 graduation rate for Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) is 91.5%. The graduation rate for the State of Florida is 87.3%. CCPS outperformed the state by 4.2 percentage points, increasing our rank for graduation rate among Florida’s 67 counties to 11th in 2022 from 14th in 2021. This highlights the successful instructional efforts CCPS implemented to mitigate the challenges experienced by many students as a result of the pandemic.
Our slight decrease in graduation rate is due to a variety of factors which contributed to disrupted learning. Many students completed or continue to work on graduation requirements after the 2022 reporting deadline. We are extremely proud of their commitment and perseverance.
“I am proud of the resilience of the Class of 2022. These students have persevered through significant challenges, including natural disasters and the pandemic, which resulted in interrupted learning and other obstacles to achievement. Strong family engagement and community support contributed to the efforts of the dedicated teachers who provided individualized instruction which led to student achievement. I continue to be inspired by our students and educators who are role models for future generations.” - Dr. Leslie Ricciardelli, Interim Superintendent, Collier County Public Schools
