After aiding her team to a two-win week, sophomore Grace Petty has been named the Sun Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
The Rochester, Ill. native aided in snapping a five-game losing streak for her team at the Faulkner Invitational last week when she recorded three double-doubles, the first coming against the host team Faulkner where she recorded 16 kills and 21 digs.
In the next contest, Petty registered 16 more kills and added 18 more digs in the five-set victory over Reinhardt and would conclude the week adding 15 more kills and 13 more digs in a win against Mobile University.
The right-side hitter ended the week with a team high 61 kills, 73 digs, seven service aces, and three blocks.
Petty and the Fire will be back in action this weekend at the Cumberlands Invitational with a contest on Friday against Bryan at 3:30 p.m. and two contests on Saturday against Ohio Christian and Bluefield University at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
