The Ave Maria University football team will open their 2022 home schedule this coming Saturday, as the Gyrenes host the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech at Gyrene Field. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Gyrenes fans should be aware of the following items before arriving at Gyrene Field:
PARKING: Due to the construction of Ave Maria's new state-of-the-art facilities, parking near Gyrene Field has been adjusted for the 2022 season. ONLY fans with Booster Club membership will be permitted on Kelleher Street, and no vehicles will be permitted to pass through Kelleher Street. All other fans will be directed to the general parking area on Owens Way, or will be asked to seek parking elsewhere on the Ave Maria University campus.
BOOSTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP: Fans interested in supporting AMU Athletics are able to join the Gyrene Booster Club. Memberships in the Booster Club are available at https://donate.avemaria.edu/gyrene-athletic-booster-club. Booster Club membership includes a membership window decal; All Sports Season passes with Booster Club Hospitality, two drink tickets per person and free parking at every Ave Maria home game. For home football games, Booster Club parking will be available on Kelleher Street at the old tailgate lot near the beach volleyball courts, and the hospitality area will be located behind the south end zone, nearest Kelleher Street.
TICKETS: Tickets for the football season, both in single game and season packages, are available at https://avemaria.universitytickets.com/. Fans can also purchase parking passes for games at the same link. Tickets will be available at the entrance to the stadium.
DONAHUE ACADEMY NIGHT: The first promotional night of the 2022 season with honor Donahue Academy in Ave Maria, as we salute the partnership between the University and the Academy. There will be free tickets for all Donahue faculty, staff and students, the school will have promotional material available throughout the stadium area, and members of the school community will be honored.
CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available at the game. The local chapter of the Knights of Columbus will be on hand grilling, with hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks available for purchase.
STREAMING: Fans that cannot attend the game can tune in at TheSunDigitalNetwork.com. Cooper Huskey will be on the call as the Gyrenes battle the Blue Devils.
