June 4 To July 30
This year, take a journey under the sea with the Collier County Public Library’s 2022 Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities”! Enjoy summer activities that encourage curiosity, fun projects and educational games at our 10 locations. The Summer Reading Program begins Saturday, June 4th and ends on Saturday, July 30th
Visit any library in Collier County to sign up, read, and win prizes! We have programs for all ages: birth-grade 5, grades 6-12, and adults.
Collier County Public Library has planned a variety of fun online programs and videos and in-person activities throughout the summer. Check our online calendar at www.CollierLibrary.org for our kick-off events in June. Children and teens will be able to find out a sneak peek at what is happening at the library during our weekly “Catch of the Week” videos. In addition, participants are encouraged to share their summer ocean adventures on social media, and each library will also have displays for photo opportunities.
Programs and events are organized by age levels for kids, teens and adults. Participation is easy; pick up a bookmark at the library or on our website, and read books, eBooks, or listen to audiobooks. Children and teens will earn small prizes every time they visit the library as they complete their summer reading bookmark. They will be entered into the Collier County Public Library’s Grand Prize drawing at the end of the summer. The more you read and the more bookmarks you complete, the more chances you’ll have to win!
Adults can report their participation on an “Oceans of Possibilities” bookmark. Once completed, the bookmark can be entered into the Grand Prize drawing. This year, adults 18 and up can win a membership to local organizations like the Naples Botanical Garden or the Naples Zoo!
The 2022 Summer Reading Program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Library. Special thanks also go to the Naples Woman’s Club, who provided books to support our mission of literacy.
