Collier County issued the following announcement on Oct. 6.
The Collier Public Transit & Neighborhood Enhancement (PTNE) Division is announcing a 30-day public comment period for the upcoming route modifications that will take effect November 21st.
Coming this November with our seasonal route update, major changes will be taking place across multiple Collier Area Transit routes. As part of the process of introducing these changes and informing the public, a public comment period is held, and a public workshop will take place. As a result of our Comprehensive Operations Analysis (COA) completed earlier this year, we are acting on the recommendations of the near-term service enhancements. We have proposed changes to ten of our existing routes including the removal of one route completely to provide enhanced service through other routes. These enhancements consist of service frequency, consolidation, and realignment modifications along with several additional modifications needed to approach a cost neutral implementation. These changes will be available for public review online and across multiple locations throughout Collier County.
The public comment period for the November 2021 Route Modifications will end, and a public workshop will be held, on November 5th, 2021. The Route Modifications will be on display near the customer service desks at the sites listed below:
