On Sunday, March 9, former St. John Neumann Catholic High School standout Tye Phoenix’s current college team, the MIT Engineers, lost 18-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the La Verne Leopards.
The game took place at Ben Hines Field. This was their first matchup against the Leopards this season.
The Engineers’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 3 p.m. at Sol Gittleman Park against Tufts Jumbos.
