On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m., Babson Beavers, featuring former The Community School of Naples standout Cooper Smith, fell 9-4 to the Trinity Tigers in their NCAA Division III baseball contest.
Trinity Baseball Field hosted the teams for their second meeting of the season. In their prior clash on Friday, Feb. 27, the Beavers were defeated 8-5 by the Tigers.
During the game, Smith pitched five innings, surrendering three earned runs, walking one and striking out four.
Next up for the Beavers is a scheduled matchup on Sunday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Baseball Field against the Trinity Tigers.
