At 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, featuring former Naples High School standout Mackenzie Leiti, were defeated 7-0 by the Troy Trojans in an NCAA Division I softball game.

The contest was held at FGCU Softball Complex and marked the first meeting between the teams this season.

Leiti contributed one hit in three plate appearances.

The Eagles are set to play again at FGCU Softball Complex in another matchup against the Troy Trojans on Saturday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m.
