In another message posted at the same time, he referenced comments by Scott Jennings about crime in Washington D.C., stating: “.@ScottJenningsKY is right: “It is in fact dangerous in Washington DC..People are pissed about this..Washington DC is violent..There’s lots of carjackings..” This is why I introduced HR 4922—“The DC CRIMES Act” to restore law & order to our nation’s capital & MAKE DC SAFE AGAIN.”
Byron Donalds has served as a member of Congress since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021. He previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
