Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of legislative updates and policy positions on his official Twitter account.

On February 6, 2026, Donalds promoted legislation aimed at reforming federal procurement processes. He stated, “HR 1118 – ‘The Value Over Cost Act’ will: Increase contractual flexibility & competition Provide acquisition stakeholder clarity Maximize modern tech procurement Help small business/Slash regulation This is commonsense. This is bipartisan. This is long overdue.”

Later that day, Donalds addressed election integrity by endorsing another bill. He wrote, “The ‘SAVE America Act’ ensures ONLY UNITED STATES CITIZENS can vote in UNITED STATES ELECTIONS. This is common sense. This is election integrity. This must pass. I’m proud to be one of the 71 cosponsors of this critical legislation. See bill text here: https://t.co/rBiTJ1WubT” (February 6, 2026).

In a subsequent post, Donalds discussed membership growth in a congressional caucus opposed to Sharia law in the United States: “DID YOU KNOW: The Sharia-Free America Caucus is officially up to 35 Members of Congress. We cannot let our country become the disaster that is Western Europe. DEFEND THE HOMELAND. BAN SHARIA” (February 6, 2026).

Byron Donalds has represented Florida’s 19th District since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
