Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on his official social media account this week, addressing recent national events and expressing support for law enforcement and military personnel.

On January 7, Donalds congratulated Sara Carter on her new federal appointment: “Congratulations to my friend @SaraCarterDC on your confirmation as our nation’s next Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy!”

The following day, he shared a message commending Americans joining the armed forces. On January 8, he wrote: “God bless these brave Americans for enlisting to defend our nation”

Marking National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on January 9, Donalds publicly thanked police officers across the country. He stated: “Happy National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! Not only today but every day, we thank our law enforcement officers for their continued courage, dedication, and sacrifice in keeping our nation secure. God bless our men and women in blue.”

Byron Donalds has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Francis Rooney. Prior to his congressional role, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and now residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
