Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing topics ranging from birthday wishes to criticism of federal bureaucracy and law enforcement policies.

On December 2, 2025, Donalds publicly acknowledged Florida’s Governor Rick Scott with a birthday message: “Happy Birthday to my friend, neighbor, colleague and Florida’s 45th Governor: @SenRickScott. From our SW Florida community to the State House and from Tallahassee to the halls of Congress, it’s been an honor to fight alongside you to secure conservative victories for Floridians.”

Later that day, he criticized what he described as unchecked power within the federal government. On December 2, 2025, Donalds wrote: “FOR YEARS, unelected Deep State bureaucrats ran our country with an autopen while President Biden sat on the sidelines in cognitive decline What happened was unforgivable. INVALIDATE THEM ALL.”

On December 3, 2025, Donalds commented on a legal case involving law enforcement employment and immigration status: “An illegal alien was just rehired as a cop WITH BACKPAY after an activist judge let him back on the street. He took an oath to uphold our laws while actively breaking them & BY LAW can’t even possess a firearm. He has no business being a cop. This is insanity. DEPORT THIS MAN.”

Byron Donalds has served in Congress since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
