Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on his official X account between September 1 and September 2, 2025, addressing Labor Day, congressional priorities, and an incident involving Rudy Giuliani.

On September 1, Donalds acknowledged American workers in a message marking Labor Day: “The unmatched ingenuity, grit & determination of the American worker built our country into the world’s preeminent power. To the millions of hardworking Americans across our nation: Thank you, we appreciate you & in Washington we are fighting to put you first. Happy Labor Day”.

The following day, as Congress resumed its session after recess, Donalds posted: “Congress is back in session It’s time for action MAKE DC SAFE AGAIN” on September 2.

Later that same day, Donalds commented on news involving former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani: “This weekend, @RudyGiuliani was injured while coming to the aid of a domestic violence victim. Erika and I pray for Rudy’s health and we wish him a quick recovery. Rudy took heroic action and we congratulate him on his nomination to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”

Byron Donalds has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 19th district since 2021 after succeeding Francis Rooney. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
