On the morning of July 18, Donalds announced that the House had passed a resolution targeting federal funding for several organizations. He wrote, “Last night, the House passed HRes590 (216-213) to codify the 1st round of @DOGE cuts. USAID–DEFUNDED @NPR–DEFUNDED @PBS–DEFUNDED Our hard-earned taxpayer dollars NEVER should’ve been funding this egregious politicization. HRes590 now heads to @POTUS’s desk to BECOME LAW.” (July 18, 2025).
Later that day, Donalds highlighted a local initiative focused on public safety education. He posted, “Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Fort Myers Regional Library for our Personal Safety Workshop, hosted alongside the @SheriffLeeFL. Attendees were informed of key safety practices & proactive measures. This was the second event of our Community Workshop Summer Series.” (July 18, 2025).
In another post addressing financial policy, Donalds expressed opposition to central bank digital currency proposals. He stated, “Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) would give unelected bureaucrats in our federal government absolute control over YOUR MONEY. This is wrong & this is a dangerous threat to freedom. Yesterday, the House voted 219-210 to BLOCK this globalist tyranny from infiltrating America.” (July 18, 2025).
Byron Donalds has served as U.S. Representative for Florida’s 19th District since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020.
