Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on his social media accounts covering topics from hurricane preparedness to government funding and law enforcement.

On March 24, 2026, Donalds alerted Floridians to new developments from the National Weather Service National Hurricane Center for the upcoming hurricane season. He wrote, “ATTENTION FLORIDIANS @NWSNHC has announced new products and services for Hurricane Season 2026. Shortly after, also on March 24, Donalds expressed support for federal immigration authorities by stating, “God bless the men and women of @ICEgov https://t.co/MHWGADiJqH”.

The following day, on March 25, he addressed ongoing concerns about a potential government shutdown and Department of Homeland Security funding. His post read: “END THE SHUTDOWN FUND THE @DHSgov https://t.co/Dfb6hieEal”.

Byron Donalds began representing Florida’s 19th congressional district in 2021 after serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, he holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
