In a tweet posted at 01:57 UTC, Donalds stated, “Bail reform makes our communities less safe. Bail reform puts violent criminals back onto our streets to reoffend within hours. JUST NOW: @HouseGOP PASSED H.R. 5214 – ‘D.C. Cash Bail Reform Act’ by a vote of 237-179 to eliminate this destructive policy in our nation’s capital.”

Later that morning at 02:09 UTC, he addressed another legislative measure, writing, “Under the ‘Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022’ our nation’s capital puts criminals over cops and far-left ideology over innocent Americans. JUST NOW: @HouseGOP PASSED H.R. 5107 – ‘CLEAN DC Act’ by a vote of 233-190 to eliminate this anti-police law.”

By the afternoon at 15:55 UTC, Donalds commented on labor force trends during the Biden administration: “Under @POTUS, we are putting AMERICA FIRST 2.5M Americans GAINED employment 670K foreign workers LOST employment 3.4M Americans JOINED labor force 708K foreign workers LEFT the labor force”.

Byron Donalds has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Francis Rooney and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
