Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to share personal values and legislative updates.

On September 15, 2025, Donalds posted a message emphasizing traditional family values and legacy-building: “Get married. Have children. Build a legacy. Pass down your values. Pursue the eternal. Seek true joy. Live like @charliekirk11 https://t.co/FyPpZrIOiY”.

The following day, on September 16, 2025, Donalds highlighted progress on his legislative efforts regarding public safety in Washington D.C.: “LAST WEEK: My bill, HR 4922 – ‘The DC CRIMES Act’ was advanced out of @GOPoversight with a BIPARTISAN 26-19 vote. LAST NIGHT: It passed @RulesReps with a BIPARTISAN 8-2 vote. THIS AFTERNOON: It will be the first federal bill to pass the House to help @POTUS MAKE DC SAFE AGAIN https://t.co/AVM4BPNiCr https://t.co/8wVHB9hpvC”.

Later that same day, he expressed gratitude for support from fellow lawmakers: “Thank you @RepJamesComer for your unwavering support of H.R. 4922 – ‘The DC CRIMES Act.’ This bill is common sense. This bill makes our nation’s capital safer. This bill must pass.”

Byron Donalds has served in Congress since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
