Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account regarding recent developments in border security and immigration policy.

On February 24, 2026, Donalds wrote: “You can’t have a nation if you can’t secure your borders. Democrats broke our border on purpose & innocent Americans got killed. I proudly voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill—the largest border security investment in a generation—to fix this mess. This can NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.”

Continuing his commentary on February 25, 2026, Donalds detailed recent statistics and actions: “We are making America SAFE AGAIN:

Nearly 3.7M illegals DEPORTED
0 illegals entered in the past 9mo
99% REDUCTION in illegals released
Fentanyl trafficking DOWN 56%
10K+ terrorists BLOCKED
ICE staffing DOUBLED
132K+ children lost by Biden FOUND
100K+ visas REVOKED”

Later that same day, he added: “DID YOU KNOW: Illegal border crossings are at their lowest level since the 1970s. We achieved negative net migration in 2025––the first time in OVER 50 YEARS. We are reversing decades of unchecked migration and restoring AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY.”

Byron Donalds has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 19th district since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1978, Donalds currently resides in Naples and holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
