On May 12, 2025, Congressman Donalds expressed a warm welcome to an individual named Edan with the brief statement “Welcome home Edan!”.
The following day, on May 13, 2025, he highlighted significant actions taken by President Biden and the White House. In his tweet, he outlined accomplishments such as executive orders lowering prescription drug prices and securing trade deals with both the United Kingdom and China. Additionally, he noted efforts to secure ceasefires involving Houthis and between India-Pakistan as well as Ukraine-Russia direct talks.
Later that day, Congressman Donalds attended an event organized by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) at National Harbor. He emphasized the importance of community banks for Main Street America and advocated for freeing them from Dodd-Frank regulations. Byron Donalds was born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently resides in Naples. He graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree and later obtained another Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 2002.
