Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to comment on government spending and immigration policy, as well as to recognize the upcoming anniversary of the U.S. Navy.
On October 3, 2025, Donalds posted: “Democrats SHUT DOWN the government because they want to give taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens. How much of our hard-earned money? NEARLY TWO BILLION DOLLARS. Democrats have lost the plot. Democrats put foreign law breakers first. @GOP puts the AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST.”
Three days later, on October 6, 2025, he wrote: “MARCH: I asked @ChicagosMayor how much of YOUR MONEY he wastes on illegals–he didn’t know. JUNE: I asked @GovPritzker the same question–he didn’t know either. OCTOBER: Chicago is creating @ICEgov Free Zones. They unapologetically put criminal illegals first. This is insanity.”
In a separate post that same day, Donalds turned his attention to military service members and an upcoming milestone for the U.S. Navy: “God bless the greatest fighting force ever to roam the seas. Thank you to all who have served and to all who are currently serving across our nation and around the world. Our grateful nation looks forward to celebrating the 250th anniversary of the @USNavy next Monday!”
Byron Donalds has served in Congress since 2021 after previously holding office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and now residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
