The congressman, who has previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, shared his views through a series of tweets dated March 20, 2025.

In one tweet from March 20, Congressman Donalds highlighted a funding comparison involving two international projects. He presented it as a “ROUND 1 MATCHUP,” juxtaposing “$20M for Sesame Street in Iraq” against “$520M for consultant-driven ESG investments in Africa.”

Another tweet from the same day focused on different international causes. In this post, he compared “$3.9M to LGBT causes in the Western Balkans” with “$39.8M for ‘USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion’ and to a consultant to help USAID employees with ‘counseling, organizational resilience, wellness and work-life.’

Later that day, Congressman Donalds celebrated the release of George Glezmann from Taliban captivity. In his tweet at 19:33 UTC, he expressed gratitude towards the Trump administration’s efforts by stating that thanks to their hard work and mediation efforts “he is now free.” He concluded with a welcoming note saying “WELCOME HOME GEORGE .”
