Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of tweets on July 4, 2025, highlighting his participation in community events and political developments. Born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1978, Donalds has been serving in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Francis Rooney.

On July 4th, Congressman Donalds tweeted about his honor to join veterans at Golden Gate VFW Post 7721. He stated: “It was an honor to join veterans from across our SWFL community at Golden Gate VFW Post 7721. On this day we celebrate our Founding Fathers, the exceptional nation they created, the patriots who made it possible, & the heroic servicemembers who have fought to defend our freedom.”

Later that day, he expressed gratitude towards veterans and servicemembers throughout American history with another tweet: “From the Continental Army to the present, God Bless the veterans and servicemembers who have fought to create and preserve the greatest country that man ever known. Our grateful nation salutes you.”

In a subsequent tweet on July 4th as well, Congressman Donalds announced a significant legislative development regarding former President Trump’s agenda: “THE ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL LAW JUST NOW: President Trump’s America First Agenda was OFFICIALLY SIGNED INTO LAW. Thank you to @realDonaldTrump @SpeakerJohnson @HouseGOP @LeaderJohnThune @SenateGOP and all who made this possible.”

Byron Donalds has had a notable political career starting from his time in the Florida House of Representatives between 2016 and 2020 before moving on to serve at the national level.
