The Byron Donalds Campaign and Friends of Byron Donalds PAC announced on Apr. 1 that they have raised $22.2 million in the first quarter of 2026, marking a record fundraising amount for a non-incumbent candidate for Florida Governor. The campaign said more than 10,000 donors contributed during this period, bringing the combined total between both entities to over $67 million.
This significant fundraising haul comes as Donalds seeks the Republican nomination for governor with backing from several prominent figures and organizations. The campaign highlighted endorsements from former President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk, Senator Rick Scott, most Florida sheriffs, U.S. House leadership, 17 members of Florida’s congressional delegation, and three-quarters of the Republican caucus in the Florida House.
Ryan Smith, Chief Strategist for the Byron Donalds Campaign, said: “Trump-endorsed Byron Donalds is laser-focused on defeating the Democrats and keeping Florida Red this November. Byron Donalds is the America First conservative who will defend the Florida Dream by making the Sunshine State safer and more affordable for families and seniors. As Governor, Byron Donalds will lower our cost of living, protect our communities from illegal immigration, and stop the Radical Democrats from imposing their agenda on our state.”
The large number of individual contributors suggests broad support within Republican circles as well as among national conservative leaders.
As election season continues toward November’s vote for governor in Florida, observers are watching how these financial resources may impact campaign outreach efforts across the state.
