Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing Senate procedure, Democratic leadership, and the judiciary.
On November 5, 2025, Donalds expressed support for ending the filibuster in the U.S. Senate. In his post he wrote: “.@POTUS is right. It’s time to end the filibuster.
We have a historic opportunity to pass our America First agenda. Let us not squander it on procedural nostalgia.
I stand ready to support @SenateGOP in this effort. The time for talking is over, the time for governing is NOW.”
The following day, November 6, 2025, Donalds criticized several Democratic leaders in another tweet: “Democrats are letting the truth slip out:
– Katherine Clark admitted that Democrats are leveraging the suffering of Americans for politics.
– Chuck Schumer admitted every day we are shut down, he thinks ‘it gets better’ for him.
– Maxine Waters admitted Democrats want”
Later that same day, Donalds called for impeachment proceedings against Chief Judge James Boasberg: “Chief Judge James Boasberg signed-off on this un-American witch hunt.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
He chose political lawfare over justice.
He must be IMPEACHED.”
Byron Donalds has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Francis Rooney and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
