Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed constituents through a series of social media posts. The messages included an announcement of a local safety event and comments on pharmaceutical industry profits.
On July 14, 2025, Donalds announced an upcoming community event: “THIS THURSDAY 7/17, my team is co-hosting a FREE Personal Safety Workshop in collaboration with @SheriffLeeFL at the Fort Myers Regional Library. The event will last from 11:30AM–1:00PM is suitable for all ages, and no RSVP is required for entry.” This workshop aims to provide personal safety information to residents of Southwest Florida.
Later that day, Donalds commented on the global pharmaceutical market: “Our country makes up less than 5% of the world’s population, yet we fund 75% of the world’s pharmaceutical profits. This is WRONG. This is UNFAIR. And this CANNOT STAND. Government must put the AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST. I’m proud to join my colleagues in this critical initiative.” The statement reflects his position on prioritizing American interests in government policy regarding healthcare costs.
A subsequent post shared a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/wpdrcx7cU1”.

Born in Brooklyn in 1978, he currently resides in Naples and holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
