Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on February 2, 2026, covering topics ranging from a local community event to national economic developments.

Donalds announced an upcoming community event: “SAVE THE DATE On Saturday, March 28th at 0900 hours, my office will hold our annual Academy Day event. This year’s event will take place at 2855 Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers. Please RSVP to: DonaldsAcademyNominations@mail.house.gov We are looking forward to a great event!” (posted February 2, 2026).

Later the same day, he highlighted a trend in housing costs: “DID YOU KNOW: Apartment rents just dropped to their lowest level in 4 years––down 6.2% from their peak in 2022.” (posted February 2, 2026).

Donalds also commented on recent changes in prescription drug pricing: “BIG NEWS: ‘Drugmakers are..slashing prices for several widely used medicines..20 brand-name drugs had list-price cuts this month ranging from 9.8% to 91.7%’ This is a huge win for Floridians. Byron Donalds has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 19th district since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
