Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of statements on December 3, 2025, addressing issues ranging from public education to federal trucking regulations and executive authority.
In a post at 18:55 UTC, Donalds commented on school choice policy following a meeting with Florida Virtual School leaders on Capitol Hill. He stated, “For too-long, our children have fallen victim to an ineffective public school system. Every parent deserves a choice. And every child deserves a chance. Thank you to the leadership of Florida Virtual School for joining us today on Capitol Hill to discuss school choice policy.”
Later that day at 19:23 UTC, Donalds addressed commercial trucking regulations and immigration enforcement in response to another user’s comment. He wrote, “.@EricLDaugh this is exactly why I introduced HR 5177 – “The WEIGH Act” – the federal crackdown on illegal alien truckers. Under my bill, all weigh stations along interstate highways will be required to enforce @POTUS’s EO to review commercial driver licenses for irregularities.”
At 20:13 UTC, Donalds questioned the legitimacy of documents signed by President Joe Biden’s autopen and criticized what he described as actions by “unelected” officials. He posted, “Any and all documents, proclamations, executive orders, memorandums, and contracts, signed by order of Joe Biden’s autopen are NULL AND VOID. What these unelected, Deep State bureaucrats did to our country is UNFORGIVABLE. This must NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.”
Byron Donalds has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Francis Rooney and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples at age 44, Donalds holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
