Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of messages on social media. His posts covered a range of topics including military appreciation, Father’s Day greetings, and advocacy for school choice.
On June 14, 2025, Congressman Donalds commemorated the founding of the United States Army with a message of gratitude to its members. He stated: “250 years ago today, the @USArmy was founded. To every patriot who has served in our Army, and to all currently serving, thank you for your noble dedication to the security of our nation, and for advancing the cause of freedom across the world. We are grateful for your service.”
The following day, June 15, 2025, he extended warm wishes to fathers nationwide with a brief message celebrating Father’s Day: “To all of the dedicated fathers across our Southwest Florida community, the Sunshine State and the nation: HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!”
On June 16, 2025, Congressman Donalds expressed his views on education policy via another post. He emphasized parental knowledge over bureaucratic intervention in child-rearing decisions by stating: “Parents know their child better than ANY ideologically-driven bureaucrat in DC. They know their child’s skillsets. They know their child’s gifts. And they PUT THEIR CHILD FIRST. SCHOOL CHOICE is the civil rights issue of our time and we have a responsibility to meet the moment.”
Byron Donalds has been serving in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Francis Rooney. Before his congressional role, he served in Florida’s House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020.
