Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on November 17, 2025, to address issues ranging from religious persecution abroad to domestic border security and immigration enforcement.

In a post published at 18:24 UTC, Donalds highlighted violence against Christians in Nigeria. He wrote, “7,000+ Christians killed THIS YEAR 125,000+ Christians killed since 2009 19,000+ churches burned since 2009 DON’T LOOK AWAY. Thank you, @USAmbUN and @NICKIMINAJ for bringing much-needed attention to the horrific persecution that innocent Christians are facing in Nigeria.”

Later that day at 22:27 UTC, Donalds commented on an incident involving an undocumented immigrant. He stated, “An illegal alien jihadist-terrorist who was released into the country under the Biden admin was just caught with a Pennsylvania CDL. Safety must be the standard, not the exception. This is why I’m leading the federal crackdown on illegal alien truckers, HR 5177––The WEIGH Act.”

At 22:38 UTC on November 17th, Donalds posted about recent developments regarding border security and deportations of undocumented immigrants. He wrote, “6 MONTHS STRAIGHT of 0 illegal aliens released into the United States. Millions of illegals have been deported. Tens of millions more to go. I’m proud to have voted to pass the largest border security package in a generation & to bolster the mass deportation of illegal aliens.”

Byron Donalds has served as a member of Congress representing Florida’s 19th District since replacing Francis Rooney in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently residing in Naples, he holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
